Pat Sibley

Patricia J. Sibley, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on November 6, 1929, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Raymond Gabel and Margaret Lucille (Nething) Gabel. Patricia grew up in Tulsa, and then moved to Pryor, where she met and later married Robert Sibley on July 22, 1950. She and Robert had and raised three children. In the 1970s Patricia returned to school to pursue her education, receiving an undergraduate degree in art and her master's in theology at the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Kentucky. She was ordained as a Presbyterian Minister in 1985, serving many churches across Oklahoma and Kansas. She had many interests, including cooking, art, gardening, reading, music, fashion, technology and going out to eat with friends. She was an avid traveler and took trips all over the world to Germany, Ireland, Scotland, Mexico, Hawaii and one of their favorite places - Charleston, South Carolina. She was on the board of the Tulsa Garden Club, a member of the Genealogy Society, the P.E.O. and several book clubs. She also ministered to women in the Prison Ministries of Tulsa. Later in life she married Orville Moseley, and they shared five beautiful years until his passing. Patricia was a woman of faith, loving her Lord, her large family, and her many friends.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Fairview Cemetery with Reverend Todd Freeman officiating. A Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 4 p.m. in the College Hill Presbyterian Church at 2641 E. 8th Street, Tulsa, OK 74104. She is survived by her sons, Robert and wife, Kathy Sibley of Tulsa, OK and Jeff and wife, Sonya Moseley of Owasso, OK; her daughters, Linda and husband, Charles Wood of Frisco, TX, Kyle and husband, Steve Anderson of Lexington, SC; Carolyn and husband, Kevin Janney of Sapulpa, OK; Sister in law, Celia Gabel of Republic, MO; grandchildren, Aubrey and husband, Robert Marshall, Claire and husband, Michael Young, Sarah and husband, Trey Curry, Austin and wife, Tiffany Sibley, Lindsay Kerr, Nathan and wife, Aubrey Kerr; many other great grandchildren, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Sibley, her second husband, Orville Moseley; brother, Bill Gabel and daughter, Marilyn Lindsay.
