Patsy Claraine (Ary) Carroll, age 75, passed from this life on February 3, 2023 in Claremore, OK to eternal life to be with the Lord. Patsy was born on September 7, 1947 to Winfred and Trelma Louise McDaniel Ary in Livermore, CA. In 1948 Patsy, her two brothers Kenneth and Jesse along with their mother moved to Oklahoma where she lived the next twelve years before returning to California and residing in Santa Paula, CA for more than sixty years. Patsy graduated from Santa Paula High School in 1965. In 1966 Patsy married Richard Carroll. From this marriage they had two children, son William (Billy) and daughter Michelle (Micki). Patsy was employed for 48 years at Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC); Expeditionary Warfare Center in Port Hueneme, CA as a Configurations Data Manager (CDM). Patsy loved God and was a dedicated member of the Santa Paula Church of Christ for over fifty years. She loved to sing and loved her church family immensely. It gave her great joy to be able to provide holiday gifts and goodies to all the young children of the congregation. Patsy enjoyed planning and decorating for church parties and gatherings. Patsy also volunteered her time with the Santa Paula Lions Club along with many years of volunteering to keep score and coach her son and daughter’s little league baseball and softball teams. Patsy was always present at her children’s sporting events. She enjoyed playing church softball and never passed up the chance to play volleyball. She loved playing dominoes, cards and any board game. She loved taking walks at the Harbor in Ventura, especially with her dog Gizmo, Patsy felt blessed to be able to help those in need. When music was playing, Patsy was dancing. She had an infectious smile and couldn’t help the many facial expressions she made. She took pleasure in handing out blinking light pins to friends and complete strangers. She enjoyed that this simple gift put a smile on someone’s face. Patsy was such a strong woman, she beat breast cancer and fought so courageously during her almost three-year battle with ovarian cancer until the very end. The last two- and one-half years she spent living with her daughter and family in Oklahoma. Her family will miss her tremendously.

Patsy is survived by her son William Carroll (California), daughter Michelle (Micki) and husband Jeff Franks (Oklahoma), her grandchildren whom she dearly adored, grandson Tanner stationed in Virginia with the U.S. Navy and wife Brittany Franks, granddaughter Molly Franks (Oklahoma), granddaughter Alize Carroll (California), siblings Kenneth Ary (wife Gloria) California, Jesse Ary (wife Dianne) Oklahoma, Prissy Buffalohead Socia (husband Walter) California, Mark Buffalohead (wife Karen) Oklahoma, Valerie Buffalohead Vick (husband Andrew) Louisiana, Rene Buffalohead (wife Judy) Michigan, Brother-in-law Rick Asbury, Oklahoma, Sister-in-law Jan Buffalohead, California, numerous other family members and many wonderful friends.
