Paul Paine

Paul Dennis Paine, 76, of Spavinaw, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 in Spavinaw, Oklahoma. He was born on June 30, 1938 in Ree Heights, South Dakota, the son of Roger Paine and Marie (Elyea) Paine. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Air Force. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Soviet Affairs from the University of California at Santa Barbara, California. He worked as a home builder for many years. Paul married Elaine Miller on June 28, 2008 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He enjoyed reading and was a history buff. Paul enjoyed writing funny fiction. Paul will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. A Private Memorial Service will be planned at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service. Paul is survived by his wife, Elaine of the home; his children, Roger Paine and wife, Janet of California, Shaun Paine of California, Rowena Paine of California and Stephen Paine and wife, Danielle of California; brother, Robert Paine and wife, Jan of California; sisters, Mary Lavin and husband, Mark of California, Lynda Martin and husband, Jack of California, Kerry Roten and husband, Greg of California; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
