Pearl Patterson

Pearl W. Patterson, 80, of Chouteau, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Pryor, Oklahoma. Pearl was born on August 20, 1929 in Peggs, Oklahoma, the daughter of John and Cressie (Robertson) Jackson. Pearl was saved at the age of 16 and began her evangelical ministry at age 17. She married Verlon Patterson on February 14, 1953 in the home of Pat and Della Patterson in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. She had worked at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas, St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Greer's Ranch House Sausage in Pryor before opening her resale business, The Everything Shop, which she ran for several years. She retired and enjoyed life. Pearl was a loving, generous, happy person who enjoyed giving of herself and sharing her garden with everyone. Pearl was a very special lady whose big smile made your day a better one each and every time you saw her. She will be so very very missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services for Pearl will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Jubilee Ministries in Locust Grove, Oklahoma with Reverend Norma Blackwell officiating. Interment will be in the Chouteau North Cemetery in Chouteau, Oklahoma with Kenny Moore, Dale Moore, Wayne Cole, Doyle Cole, Randy Cole and Danny Davis serving as casket bearers. Honorary Casket bearers are Terry Harp, Billy Harp and Larry Harp. Pearl is survived by her daughter, Marsha Patterson of Chouteau, OK; one sister, Wanda Hampton of Locust Grove, OK; many nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Nadeen Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verlon Patterson; two sisters, Bernice Davis and Ruby Weaver; two brothers, Bill Jackson and Jimmy Jackson; her parents, John and Cressie Jackson.
