Peggy Lee Council, 75, of Claremore, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on June 12, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; the daughter of Ellis and Judy (Greer) Davis. She attended and graduated from Central High School in Tulsa. She married Clyde Council on August 28, 1959 in the Temple Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Together, they raised two children, Patrick and Robin. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her children. She and Clyde owned Clyde's Auto Body in Colorado, and she worked most of her life as the secretary for the shop. Peggy enjoyed house decorating and shopping. She looked forward to spending with her family and cherished each moment she had with them. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 in the Eastern Hills Baptist Church in Claremore. Peggy is survived by her husband, Clyde Council of the home; son, Patrick Council and husband, Mitch Galper of Los Angeles, California; daughter, Robin Self of Claremore, Oklahoma; brother, Paul Davis and wife Judi of Campbell, California; sister, Johna Davis - Ames of Palm Desert, California; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
