Perry Arthurs

Perry Dee Arthurs, 77, of Salina, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015 in Salina, Oklahoma. He was born on July 27, 1938 in Pryor; the son of George and Mary (Beeman) Arthurs. Perry faithfully served his country in the United States Army in Korea. He retired from the Pryor Foundry, working there for 27 years. He looked forward to spending time with his family, listening to music and dancing. He leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in the Blue Springs Church with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Ross - Mayes Cemetery with Darren Ketcher, Dakota Ketcher, Larry Six, Jr., Doug Arthurs, Tre' Le Glass, and Jeremy Giles serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 12, 2015 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. He is survived by his son, Perry Dee Arthurs, Jr. of Salina, Oklahoma; daughters, Dina and husband Jeremy Giles of Salina, Oklahoma, Gaye Cochran of Salina, Oklahoma and Deborah Aylor of Salina, Oklahoma; brother, Donald Arthurs and wife Pam of Pryor, Oklahoma; sister, Pauline Six of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren Best Buddy, Delbert Pierce and Best Friend, Betty Arthurs; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and granddaughter, Talara Johnston.
