Phillip Terry Trout, born on April 11, 1948, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on July 13, 2023, in Vinita, Oklahoma. He was known for his giving heart and would willingly give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Phillip had a caring spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him. Phillip served his country honorably in the United States Navy Seabees. His dedication to duty and commitment to serving others were evident throughout his military career. Phillip's service was marked by bravery and selflessness, embodying the true spirit of a patriot. After leaving the Navy, Phillip settled in Oklahoma, where he became an integral part of the community. His warm personality and genuine kindness earned him numerous friendships that stood the test of time. He had a passion for animals, especially when it came to his horses and dogs. He also spent a short time as a cattle rancher. Phillip was always there whenever someone needed a helping hand or a heartfelt conversation. Phillip's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed by his family members, friends, and colleagues alike. Although mourning their loss is inevitable, it is important to celebrate Phillip's life and cherish the memories shared with such a remarkable individual.
Phillip is survived by his son, Jimmy Trout of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother, Gary Trout of Miami, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Dorothy (Ivey) Trout.
