Phyllis Rose Lee Hedrick

Phyllis Rose Lee Hedrick, 91, of Pryor, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born at home near the Cole – Strang Community on November 13, 1931; the daughter of Bert and Pearl (Cole) Caster. She married Hershel Hedrick on March 16, 1955 and celebrated 39 years of marriage until his passing on November 21, 1994. She worked at Whitaker State Home for many years and once it closed, worked for the State of Oklahoma in Tulsa. She was a member of the Life Fellowship Church in Pryor.  Phyllis also looked forward to playing bridge, loved to go shopping with her friends, traveling and went on many trips with Cormileta and Jim Floyd. She leaves behind many memories for her family and friends to remember.

Come and go visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor. Private burial to follow in the Benge Cemetery in Strang. Phyllis is survived by lots of cousins and preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Pearl Caster, and her husband, Hershel Hedrick.
