Please keep in mind that due to Covid - 19 guidelines there will only be 9 family members allowed under the tent at the cemetery.
Bishop Cooper will be the 10th person. All other family members will need to remain in their vehicles for the duration of the service.
Polly Owings, 87, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020. She was born on May 5, 1932 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma; the daughter of Clyde and Polly Pearl (Farrer) Hedrick. She attended Odessa College School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mesa. Polly loved music, she played piano and the organ. She was also a choir director. She was a wonderful cook, she made everything from scratch, especially desserts. Polly had 15 grandchildren and she was close to each of them. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Polly is survived by her son, Donnie Owings of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughters, Carolyn Whatcott and husband Sam of Mesa, Arizona, and Timee Cooper and husband Steve of College Station, Texas; brother, Larry Hedrick of Kissimmee, Florida; sister, Joyce Fisher and husband Dale of Coos Bay, Oregon; special nephew, Darren Rhea and family of Fort Worth, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Polly, husband, R.J. Owings, and son, Terry Owings.
