Pvt. Kaleb Ryan Davis, 20, of Fort Riley, Kansas, passed away on July 8, 2016 in Disney, Oklahoma. He was born on February 22, 1996 in Claremore, Oklahoma. As a child, Kaleb was always outgoing and happy. He loved playing outside, and going hunting and fishing. You would hardly see Kaleb without a smile on his face. Most of Kaleb's elementary years, he was in the Tulsa area, his middle school years, he attended school in the Siloam Springs area. Kaleb made a brief stop at Kansas High School, where one of his teachers said "she loved how he thought outside the box, and had such a great sense of humor." He then decided to finish his High School years at Jay High School, where he graduated in 2014. Just out of High School, Kaleb joined the U.S. Army, he moved to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, to begin a new chapter in his life as an Army Private. He graduated from basic training at Fort Leonard Wood in 2015 as a Combat Engineer. Kaleb was very excited about his new career. His father stated "I remember him telling stories of his training, such as mine sweeping, blowing up doors and other things with explosives." Kaleb wore his uniform proudly. He was as proud of himself as we were of him. Kaleb had some rough patches in his life and he knew his military career was a major mile stone in his life. A few weeks after he graduated from basic training, Kaleb set off to his new career and life as a Combat Engineer with the United States Army at Fort Riley, Kansas. Kaleb was probably one of the proudest soldiers the army ever had. His family was also so proud of him. Kaleb loved to flash his dog tags when girls were around, he called them his chick magnets. He grew from a happy, smiling child to a proud man. He touched everyone he came in contact with; he made friends wherever he went. His friendships ran as deeply as family blood. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2016 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Davis officiating.
