Raymond Louis Harris, 76, of Locust Grove, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at his home. He was born on August 3, 1942 in Boatman; the son of Clarence and Fredia (Cottrell) Harris. Raymond faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a carpenter most of his life for Pryor Truss Company. Raymond was very proud of his Native American culture and loved eagles, wolves, Indian art and artifacts. He also had a creative side and loved to draw on cow skulls and on paper. In his spare time, he looked forward to going fishing, riding motorcycles and watching wrestling. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing cards. Raymond married Grace on August 14, 1993. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who leaves behind many wonderful memories for his numerous friends and family to remember.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in the Pryor Apostolic Church with Reverend Nathan Chamberlain officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryan Chapel Cemetery. Raymond is survived by his wife, Grace Harris of the home; sons, Wesley and Kelli Harris, Charles and Snowda Harris, Ray Mosby, Jr., Jesse Harris, James Harris, and Jeff and Missy Hughes. Daughters, Monty Harris, Chasity Harris, Carolyn and Albert Blakeley, Fredia and Walt Wilder, Amy and Larry Brown, and Misty Hughes; step - son, Paul “P.J.” McVey and Crystal Ward; brother, David and Betty Harris; sister, Geraldine and former Butch Cantrell; brother in law, Bill Williams and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Freda Harris; brother, Carl Harris, and sisters, Wanda and James Brown, and Roberta "Bertie".
