Reta Mae Cotrill, 72, of Spavinaw, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 in Adair, Oklahoma. She was born on September 7, 1947 in Spavinaw; the daughter of Julius Caesar and Mary Eldee (Sasser) Goins. Reta married Ronnie Cotrill on August 7, 1964 in Locust Grove, Oklahoma and had celebrated 40 years of marriage until his passing. Reta worked for Salina Public Schools as a teacher for many years and also as the Elementary School Counselor. Many also knew Reta from her work overseeing Spavinaw – Strang Cemetery, as she was the secretary – treasurer for many years. She loved to watch The Young and the Restless on television, and also enjoyed quilting and sewing. Reta attended the Spavinaw First Freewill Baptist Church. Most of all, Reta loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Reta is survived by her son, George Cotrill and wife Keona of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; daughter, Sherri Masters of Jay, Oklahoma; mother, Mary Goins of Spavinaw, Oklahoma; brother, Charles Goins and wife Pam of Disney, Oklahoma; sisters, Virginia LaFay of Pryor, Oklahoma and Jodi Pilant and husband Kevin of Salina, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Julius Goins; husband, Ronnie Cotrill; and brother, Robert Goins.
