Rex Allen Swift, 63, of Strang, was born on January 7, 1960 in Branson, Missouri; the son of Rev. Darmon and Ada (Edwards) Swift. Rex married Regena Mead on June 1, 1979 and have celebrated 43 years of marriage. Rex worked for over 36 years as a mail contractor for the United States Postal Service. Preaching God’s word and teaching the gospel was so important to Rex. He was currently serving as Associate Pastor for Zion Mennonite Church in Pryor and was a member for over 4 years. Rex also looked forward to working around the farm, tending to his cows and chickens, and riding his horses. He had a special love for his family and always looked forward to them all getting together and spending time with one another. Rex was a loving husband, Dad, Pa, friend and above all a God-fearing Christian man who leaves us much too soon, but leaves behind many memories for his family to cherish.
