Rhoda Johnston

Rhoda L. Johnston, 80, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011 in Yukon, Oklahoma. She was born on January 30, 1931 in Peggs, Oklahoma, the daughter of Frank Scroggins and Beulah (Terrell) Scroggins. She moved from Missouri 14 years ago. Rhoda was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Pryor and enjoyed being active in church activities. She was a very social lady who enjoyed visiting with everyone she met. Rhoda enjoyed crocheting and playing cards. She and her husband were from large families and enjoyed cooking and spending time with everyone. Rhoda dearly loved her Lord and her family and leaves many wonderful memories for her family and friends to cherish. Funeral Services for Rhoda will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in the Pentecostal Church of God with Reverend Junior Mullin officiating. Interment will be in the Hogan Cemetery at Locust Grove with Jason Terry, Steve Terry, Randy Gillum, Stanley Doyle, Marvin Breese and J. E. Moore serving as casket bearers. She is survived by her son, Mike Johnston of Tulsa, OK; her daughter, Norma and husband, Steve Terry of Mustang, OK; her brother, Corky Scroggins of Bartlesville, OK; her sisters, Wanda Doyle of Pryor, OK and Nora Lee Whitaker of Salina, OK; her sister-in - law, Nancy Scroggins of Locust Grove, OK; grandchildren, Sara Gillum and Jason Terry; great grandchildren, Shyanne, Breanna, Samantha, Lana and Olivia; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Beulah Scroggins; her husband, Robert C. Johnston; infant daughter, Kathy Johnston; son, Bobby Johnston; two sisters, Faye Johnson and Edna Mae Holt; two brothers, Coy Scroggins and infant brother, Billy Ray Scroggins.
