Rhonda Newby

Rhonda Renee’ Newby, 54, of Tulsa, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in Tulsa. She was born on June 4, 1964 in Charleston, South Carolina; the daughter of Doyle Newby and Naomi (Britton) and Dean Branstetter. Rhonda went to Adair Public Schools and went her Senior year to Pryor High School in 1982. She was Miss Tri State Rodeo Queen in 1982- 1983. She earned her associate degree from Rogers State University in Criminal Justice and was always eager to learn more about different professions, especially for her current position working in HVAC for the City of Tulsa. She had a passion for animals and loved to rescue animals in need. She also enjoyed yard work and spending time outdoors. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rhonda is survived by her mother, Naomi Branstetter and husband Dean of Claremore, Oklahoma; brothers, Jeff Newby of Claremore, Oklahoma, Jerry Dean Branstetter and wife Shelley of Pryor, Oklahoma, Brian Branstetter and wife Renee of Pryor, Oklahoma, Tim Nave and wife Rebecca of Littleton, Colorado, and Eddie Rawling of Jenks, Oklahoma; sister, Teresa Brock and husband Bryan of Pryor, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Doyle Newby.
