Riccarda Joy Workman, 83, of Pryor, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 in Tulsa. She was born on December 10, 1936 in Town of Texas, Wisconsin; the daughter of Otto and Ruth (Hankwitz) Walters. She graduated from Wausau High School in Wausau, Wisconsin. She married Donald Wright and after his passing, married James Workman. Riccarda worked as a housekeeper most of her life, and also ran a home daycare for many years. Riccarda was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pryor for 10 years and was involved in the Women’s Ministry. She enjoyed horses, reading western novels, and working puzzles. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in the First United Methodist Church in Pryor with Pastor Roger Parker officiating. Riccarda is survived by her son, Daniel Wright of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughters, Bonnie Scanlon of Pryor, Oklahoma and Cindy Wright of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brothers, Harlan Walters of the Philippines and Otto Walters of Carlsbad, California; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Ruth Walters; husbands, Donald Wright and James Workman; brother, Art Walters and sisters, Jeanette and Lorraine.
