Richard Allen Bunn, 77, of Pryor, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, March 2, 2023 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was born on April 23, 1943, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina; the son of George Edward and Beulah Jane (Anderson) Bunn. Richard graduated from North High School in Wichita, Kansas. He married Vivian Pugh on June 27, 1964, in Wichita, Kansas and they spent 41 wonderful years together until her passing in January of 2006. He then went on to attend Oklahoma Missionary Baptist College in Marlow, Oklahoma. He pastored in Kansas, Colorado, Florida, and for the last 19 years, pastored Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Pryor, Oklahoma. Richard loved to minister to everyone around him and spread God’s word. Richard married Mildred Coleen Bunn on February 17, 2007 and they have celebrated 17 years of marriage.  He also looked forward to going golfing, bowling, hot rods, spending time with his children and grandchildren. Richard was a sports fan, especially when it came to watching the Denver Broncos. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Richard leaves behind many memories for his family to cherish.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2023, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Pryor with Pastor David Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Kechi Township Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas with Cody Wright, Danielle Crenshaw, George Wright, Jessica Norvell, Taycee Romm, Kira Bunn serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor. Richard is survived by his wife, Coleen Bunn of the home; sons. Roger Bunn and wife Candy of Kansas and Troy Bunn of  Arizona; daughter, Karen Wright and husband David of Arkansas; step son, Norman Taylor and wife Tammy of Arizona; step daughters, Barbara Arnold and husband John of Oklahoma, Glenda Taylor and husband Marty of Texas, and Brenda Jones and husband Steve of Oklahoma; brother, Danny Bunn of  Arizona; sisters, Kathleen Garten of Texas, Deborah Hendrickson and husband Ron of Colorado, and Pam Bunn of Kansas; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Edward and Beulah Bunn and his wife of 41 years, Vivian Bunn.
