Richard Jackson

Richard H. Jackson, 80, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at his home in Pryor. Richard was born on November 8, 1931 in Maude, Oklahoma, the son of Homer Emitt Jackson and Lorena Viola (Richard) Jackson. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Air Force. Richard married Leota Mae Bowman on September 5, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He and Leota moved to Pryor in 1968 from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Richard worked as Production Control Planner for American Airlines. He has been a member of the First Baptist Church in Pryor since 1977. Richard was a 32nd Degree Master Mason with Lodge #545 and a member of the Tulsa Scottish Rite. He enjoyed collecting eagles, buckles and buffalo. Richard loved his Lord and his family and will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in the First Baptist Church of Pryor with Dr. Mike Cox officiating. Interment will be in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Roger Melton, Matthew Davis, Joel Bowling, Jeremy Jackson, Christopher Bowling and Robbie Hormann serving as casket bearers. He is survived by his wife, Leota of the home; his son, Richard (Ricky) Jr. and wife, Judy of Pryor, OK; his daughters, Deana and husband, Roger Melton of Pryor, OK, Gloria and husband, Tim Davis of Grove, OK and Donna and husband, Joel Bowling of Pryor, OK; his brother, Harold Jackson of Oklahoma City, OK; his sisters, Laura Thompson of California and Loretta Wozniak of Harrah, OK; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Lorena Jackson and his sister, Shirley Jackson.
