Richard Nelson Osborne, 64, of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on December 31, 1955 in Ponca City, Oklahoma; the son of Bobby and Marjorie (Sherbon) Osborne. Richard married the love of his life, Sandra, on January 19, 1980 in Ponca City. Together they had 1 daughter, Bithiah. He was one of Jehovah’s witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was hard working, always putting his family before his own wants. He was a great provider and protector for his family or friends in need; willing to do whatever he could but whenever you thanked him, he was always quick to say, "Jehovah has been good to me!" Family was something that he always held high. He loved spending time with his wife of 40 years, quick to tell people, "did you know we only knew each other 6 weeks and got married? Now 40 years later!!" He loved his daughter and grandchildren dearly. His grandchildren meant a great deal to him, his love was overflowing, and his heart swelled with the love he had for his grandchildren. They brought a lot of love and happiness to him. He loved being part of family activities even if his health issues wouldn't allow him to do everything he wanted, and even then he would push to make sure everyone was having a good time. He always enjoyed seeing his family happy. He would always say, "If you’re happy and having fun then so am I, have a good time! Be safe, that's all I ask!" He never met a stranger, always had a smile on his face, and a story to tell. Anyone who met him always said what a genuine, kind, generous person he was. He loved traveling and seeing new sights but wouldn't enjoy it without family by his side. If you needed help or were in need he was there, saying "If he couldn't do it, he would find a way!" But he never wanted people to make a fuss over him and would apologize for being sick because he didn’t want to see anyone hurting or sad on his behalf. Even the day he passed away; he was upset he was making everyone worried. Richard was a loving family man who will be deeply missed.
