Richard Huey Plumlee, 70, of Pryor, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was born on January 19, 1946 in Salina, Oklahoma; the son of Estel and Opal (Walters) Plumlee. Richard worked as a Pulp Mill Engineer for at Orchid Paper Plant in Pryor and after many years, retired from Orchid. He married Janet Davis on October 23, 1994 in Pryor. Richard enjoyed the outdoors; especially when he was fishing or working in his yard. He also enjoyed woodworking and visiting with his friends. He leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2016 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Gwartney officiating. Gwartney and wife Donna of Rose, Oklahoma; half - sisters, Eveline Crisp and husband Norman of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Micky Young and husband Tom of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, June McFarland of Claremore, Oklahoma, Caroline Young and husband Don of Cloverdale, California, Estelene Galanda of Santa Rosa, California, and Teresa Harmoning of Santa Rosa, California; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Estel and Opal Plumlee, a brother, and 3 sisters.
