Robert L. "Bob" Miller was born on March 22, 1932 in Hutchinson, Kansas to George Nettie (Strong) Miller. He passed away on July 10, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years. Bob joined the U.S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict and was Corporal in the 293rd Engineer Battalion and was discharged in 1953 following a shoulder injury. Mr. Miller worked as a machinist for 52 years, starting his employment at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, KS and then at Hem-Saw in Pryor, OK retiring in 2009. Bob was united in marriage to Henrietta Wood on February 11, 1995 and made their home in Pryor. His best memories include time spent with his family, especially his great grandchildren. He loved woodworking, Bible studies and was a very diligent member of Heritage Southern Baptist Church. Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in the Heritage Southern Baptist Church of Pryor. Reverend Phil Hudson will officiate and burial will follow in the Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor with services under the direction of the Shipman's Funeral and Cremation Service of Pryor. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
