Robert Nathanial Ross, 51 of Locust Grove, passed away on April 4, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on August 24, 1965 in Pryor, Oklahoma; the son of Jim and Tempest Ruth Ann (Compton) Ross. Robert grew up and attended Locust Grove High School and he graduated in 1983. Robert attended North East Area Vo-tec and received his security guard license. He worked as a Valet Driver (where he always bragged of all the tips he would receive) for Hard Rock Casino and as a rancher most of his life. He was known for having a heart of gold and just a "good O' Farm Boy." He was a very simple man, he loved living on the farm and working with his cattle and watching movies. Robert also loved visiting with his (best buds) James and Brad. He was an avid Gun Show attendant every time they were in town. If you ever talked to him, he would always talk about his gun collection and how he loved going out and shooting them. Things that people didn't know about him was he was an amazing modern art and action figure artist. Robert never met a stranger and if you gave him a chance, he would talk your leg off. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor with Becky Wingard officiating. Robert is survived by his mother, Tempest Ruth Ann Compton; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Ross; and grandparents, Dell and Marie Compton and Yank and Lucy Ross.
