Roma Jean Williams, 88, of Salina, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at her home. She was born on August 19, 1931 in Salina, Oklahoma; the daughter of John R. and Ledean (Gates) Pritchett. Roma graduated in the Salina Class of 1950 and went on to marry the love of her life, Tom Williams on June 23, 1952 in Huntsville, Arkansas. They have lived in the Mayes county area most of their life, except from the years 1952 until 1957, where they traveled to many different states for Tom’s job. Roma loved flowers and owned The Flower Cart in Salina for over 10 years. She also enjoyed gardening, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the former Valley Heights Freewill Baptist in Salina and taught Sunday School classes. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother and caring grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2020 in the Blue Springs Church in Salina with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Ross – Mayes Cemetery with her grandsons, Kent Williams, Cory Packard, Phil Williams, Adam Wolf, Greg Williams, Stephen Williams, and Johnathan Williams serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be her granddaughters, Kendall Buford, Katelyn Crawford, and Erin Burris. Roma is survived by her husband, Tom Williams of the home; son, Clayton Williams and wife Beth of Kansas, Oklahoma; daughters, Debora Wolf and husband Gary of Salina, Oklahoma, Vickie Packard and husband Kenny of Salina, Oklahoma, daughter in law, Twila Williams of Sentinal, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ledean Pritchett, son, Tommy Williams, brothers, Edward, Wesley, Bob, J.R., VanDolph, Johnnie Lee, and Lonnie Pritchett; and sisters, Maxine Black, Mirene Russell, Nadine Hilton, Emma Phillips, and Niva Elam.
