Ron Dennis

July 30, 1966 — July 13, 2019

Ronald Jason Dennis was born on July 30, 1966 to James William Dennis and Inise Marie Meeker in Fort Lewis, Washington and was later adopted by Jeanetta Manley, who loved him as her own.  He departed his life on July 13, 2019 in Oklahoma City, surrounded by his loving family.

After high school, Ron joined the military where he served for over 20 years.  During his service he was an Engineer, building schools, health facilities, fresh water wells, and other public works in multiple countries, as well as our own.  He achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class before he retired in 2007.  After retiring from the Army, Ron began working for the State of Oklahoma, where he held many titles; the latest being Capital Assets Management State Facilities Strategies and Operations Director.   While working for the state, he earned a bachelor’s in Business Management and was a Certified Public Manager.

On July 1, 1988, Ron married Toni Ghumm.  Together, they raised three daughters:  Tristen Marie Hendricks, Catherine Jean Dennis, and Josey Lee Hocutt.  They had many adventures exploring the world and experiencing everything life has to offer.  Having all girls, he spent his time around a lot of women and still joked that he hadn’t learned a thing about them.

Ron loved to ride motorcycles, run, sing karaoke, play pool, fish, and drive his tractor (Bob).  More than anything, he loved spending time with his family and friends.  Ron enjoyed life and tried not to take anything for granted.  Ron was a great guy and he will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

He lives on in the memory of his wife, Toni, of 31 years; his parents, James Dennis and Jeanetta Manley; daughters, Tristen, and her husband Cody, Catherine, Josey and her husband Stephen, and Crystal; his brother, Mark; his sister, Jamie; and his two grandchildren, Macee and Jayson, and many more aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
