Ronald Bark

February 2, 1946 — October 21, 2016

Ronald Dean Bark, 70, of Salina, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born February 02, 1946 in Joplin, Missouri, the son of Charley Foreman Bark and Lavina Mae (Moorehead) Bark. When Ronald became a teenager at the age of thirteen he started helping a family on their farm, and from that point on Ed and Marion Pritchett became another set of parents he looked up too and he stayed with them till he graduated. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army from 1966 - 1968 and he also was a cook for the Army. Ronald married Sandra Pritchett in 1968 and from that marriage they had two children, daughter, Carma Bark and son, Lyle Bark. On December 1986 he married Pauline Stotz and had a son, Ronnie Bark. He had a passion for basketball and played on a independent basketball team after he got out of the Army. He worked his entire life as a carpenter and his nickname was "Bean" (his sisters say, that he always impressed them by how smart he was and they called him a human calculator) taking care of his family was a priority of his. Some of his pass time, he would get a big laugh by playing on his CB radio and his handle was, Walking Tall. He also enjoyed going outside and picking up walnuts and pecans and then picking out all the goodies on the inside. Ronald loved going to Silver Dollar City at least five times a year. He was a big outdoorsman kind of a guy until he got hurt in 2008 and since then he has lived his life at the Claremore Veterans Center. He loved his family and all the time he was able to spend with them. He will be so very missed by all his family and friends.
