Ruben Herrera

Ruben G. Herrera, 76, of Hulbert, Oklahoma passed away on Monday March 21, 2011 at his home. The son of Dorotheo Mercedes (Garza) Herrera he was born on January 6, 1935 in Edinburg, Texas. He had been a farmer most all of his life and his last farming job, was for Dan Wagoner Farms in Colorado. Ruben moved to Hulbert in 2003 from Claremore, Oklahoma. He enjoyed wrestling, watching TV and being with his family. Ruben attended St. Marks' Catholic Church in Pryor. His family will hold an all day gathering and viewing on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor. Ruben is survived by his children; James Katherine Herrera of Ozark, AR, Arthur Herrera Ray Herrera both of Tulsa, OK, Elizabeth Quintero of Hulbert, OK, Elena Andres Serna of Claremore, OK, Juanita Omar Cantu of Houston, TX, Aundrea Gonzales of Joplin, MO; 14 grandchildren, 31-great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Oscar Herrera of Clute, TX. He is preceded in death by; 1 great grandson, Brandon Herrera; 1 son-in-law, Jose Quintero in 2010; 2 brothers, Eduardo Herrera and Delfino Herrera, and his parents.
