Ruby Franks

Ruby May Franks, 95, of Adair, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. She was born on October 14, 1914 in Comanche, Oklahoma, the daughter of Augustus Long and Minnie (Work) Long. She married Raymond Franks and spent her life making a home for her family which included six children. Ruby had moved here four years ago from Oxnard, California to be close to her family. She enjoyed sewing and doing crafts. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held at a later date in Delano, California. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Raymond in the Delano Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral Cremation Service. She is survived by her four sons, Dennis and wife, Charlene Franks of Porterville, CA, Dale and wife, Ginger Franks of Bakersfield, CA, Alan and wife, Beverly Franks of Adair, OK and Michael and wife, Phillis Franks of Sallisaw, OK; 22 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in 1984; one daughter, Helen Vester and one son, Gregory Franks and her parents, Augustus and Minnie Long.
