Russell Wilson

Russell "Sarge" Wilson, 62, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sarge was born on January 14, 1949 in Claremore, Oklahoma, the son of John Wilson and Georgia Lee Pickup. He worked for the Pryor Foundry as a Grinder. He attended Lawrence Kansas Haskell Institute and Northeastern University in Tahlequah. He collected 45 rpm records. Sarge enjoyed playing and coaching softball. He enjoyed attending his children's games. He also enjoyed going to flea markets. Sarge was a member of the First Baptist Church of Salina. He will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Salina with Reverend Richard Pickup officiating. Interment will be in the New Jordan Cemetery with Solly Littledave, Joe Wolfe, Raymond Chuckluck, Jason Henry, Jerry Blossom and Billy Pickup serving as casket bearers. Honorary Casket bearers are Brandon Wilson, Kai Parker and Tobi Exendine. He is survived by his sons, Aaron Wilson of Pryor, OK and Benjamin Wilson also of Pryor, OK; his daughters, Lucille and her husband Jerry Blossom of Pryor, OK, Louise Wilson of Tulsa, OK and Melanie and her husband Jason Henry of Pryor, OK; his sisters, Ethel Rogers of Locust Grove, OK and Ruby Ragsdale of Miami, OK; 7 grandchildren, Brandon, Riley, Tobi, Kai, Akira, Tori and Taylor; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wilson and Georgia Lee Pickup; 2 brothers, Wilson Bark and Melvin Littledave; 1 granddaughter, Jordan Wilson.
