Ruth Alice Sanderson

Ruth Alice Sanderson, loving wife, mother, grandma (mema) and great grandma (meme) passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022 in Adair at the age of 80. Ruth was born on October 13, 1941, the daughter of Frederick Andrew Warren, Sr. and Ruby Dorothy (Crawford) Warren in Visalia, California. She graduated from Arvin High School in 1959. She married Bob Sanderson, the love of her life, and they shared 62 wonderful years together. Ruth and Bob moved to Oklahoma in 1973 and made their home in Adair. She worked many years at Cherokee Toggs and Fabricut. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids and when it came to them “no” was not in her vocabulary. She leaves behind many wonderful memories, and she will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Bob, of the home; daughter, Bobbie Martin and husband Alva of Adair, Oklahoma; son, Jimmy Sanderson and wife Pam of Big Cabin, Oklahoma; daughter, Mary Sanderson of Adair, Oklahoma; brother, James Warren and Susie Ollar of Adair, Oklahoma; brother, Fred Warren of Adair, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Josh Martin and fiancé Tracy Wilkerson of Bluejacket, Oklahoma, Jerrod Martin and wife Natalie of Adair, Oklahoma, Tamara Purdom and husband Trey of Claremore, Oklahoma, Emily Peters and husband Thomas of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Brooke Spence and husband  James of Plano, Texas; Sabrina Matheson of Strang, Oklahoma, Ashley Fisher and husband David of Catoosa, Oklahoma; and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ruby Warren; brother, John Warren; sister, Jean Rye; and sisters in law, Claudette Warren and Anita Warren.
