Sally Conner

Sally Jane Conner, 66, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at her home. She was born on August 31, 1945, in Miami, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jack Wooden Horn and Ruth Ella (Taylor) Horn. Sally graduated from Pryor High School in 1963. She married Dale Conner in 1964 moving to Denver for five years before returning to Pryor. She was involved in the Cole Community Club and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Pryor. Sally went to work for Dr. Collins in 1987, retiring in 2002. She enjoyed watching the ponies run and seeing the country delivering cars with her husband, Dale. She enjoyed going antiquing with her daughter and daughter-in-law. Sally enjoyed making the trip to Iowa to see her son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons whenever she could. Sally and her sisters enjoyed crafting together. Sally had a huge heart for all the animals in her life. She was a lovely lady who will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 5, 2011 at 2 p.m., in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. She is survived by her husband, Dale of the home; her son, Dale Wayne Conner and wife, Chris of Guthrie Center, IA; her daughter, Rachel and husband, Tommy O'Connor of Pryor, OK; her sisters, Judy Littlefield of Pryor, OK and Martha Carman also of Pryor, OK; her grandchildren, Dustin and Darren Conner of Guthrie Center, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ruth Horn; one brother, Roger Horn.
