Sammie Casey, Jr.

Sammie Casey, Jr., 86, of Pryor, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 in Pryor. He was born and raised on a farm west of Pryor to Sam and Flora Casey. He attended Pryor schools and graduated from Pryor High School. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in the Pryor Church of Christ with Brother D.J. Castoe officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery with Freddie Vivion, Charles Stafford, Tom Coats, Dutch Longenbaugh, Don Stafford, and Mike Dunham serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Sammie is survived by his brother, J.E. Casey and wife Frances of Pryor, Oklahoma; sister, Bonnie Pribble and husband Earl of Pryor, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sammie Casey, Sr., and Flora Casey; five sisters, Irene, Dorothy, Evalene, Ivaughn, and Eva; and 2 brothers, Johnny and Billy.
