Sandra Blackwell

Sandra Lucille Blackwell, 71, of Claremore, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on April 3, 1943 in Bangor, Maine; the daughter of Levina Beathem. Sandra enjoyed being a homemaker most of her life and raising her children. She was her grandchildren's biggest fans in everything they were involved in. Sandra also enjoyed working and playing on computers. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2014 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jim Evenson officiating. Interment will be in the Chouteau North Cemetery with Steven Maxwell, Joshua Maxwell, Myles Schweitzer, Abbott Caruthers, Brandon Phillippe, and Jonathon Dill serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Carl Burns and Darrell Phillippe. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Sandra is survived by her sons, Randy and wife Anita Maxwell of Chouteau, Oklahoma, John and wife Tricia Maxwell of Pryor, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Valorie DeMahy of Claremore, Oklahoma and Teneke and husband Eric Hessler of Denver, Colorado; 2 step- sons, Michael Blackwell of Pryor, Oklahoma and Ernest III and wife Stephanie Blackwell of Pryor, Oklahoma; step - daughter, Tammy Blackwell of Oklahoma; brother, Bill Beathem of Sacramento California; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
