Sandra Cowan

Sandra G. Cowan, 64, of Chouteau, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Tulsa. She was born on March 12, 1953 in Tulsa; the daughter of George E. and Norma (Bridges) Hannah. She married Wallace C. Cowan, Jr. on March 8, 1980 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and worked as a homemaker most of her life. Sandra has lived in the area for 37 years, coming from Broken Arrow. She loved getting the family together for gatherings and cookouts. Sandra enjoyed the outdoors and going fishing. She had a talent for cross - stitch and loved to make baby blankets for her family and friends. She was a member of the Lake Crest House of Prayer in Chouteau and looked forward to attending church events. Above all, Sandra enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She cherished each moment she had with them. She leaves behind so many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017 in the Lake Crest House of Prayer in Chouteau with Reverend Carl Eslinger officiating. Sandra is survived by her husband, Wallace Cowan of the home; 2 sons, Randy Cowan of Corpus Christi, Texas and Tommy Cowan and Audrey Baker of Chelsea, Oklahoma; 6 daughters, Mary Pitts and husband Steve of Hominy, Oklahoma, Karen Barlow and husband Kendell of Yale, Oklahoma, Teresa Cornelius and husband Walter of Chouteau, Oklahoma, Rachel Taylor and husband Darren of Shidler, Oklahoma, Johnnie McLain and husband Jeff of Chouteau, Oklahoma, and Amanda Dilbeck and fiancé Levi Schubert of Chouteau, Oklahoma; 2 brothers, Harry Hannah of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Mike Hannah of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grand baby. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Norma Hannah; 1 granddaughter, and 1 great grand baby.
