Sandra Moore was born Sandra Gay Elliott on September 7th, 1942 in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away on December 16, 2017 in Bedford, Texas at the age of 75. When Sandra was a child her family moved to Pryor, where they would make their home. Sandra has always had a strong work ethic, a value that began in high school. She graduated 4th in her class in the PHS Class of 1960. Not long afterwards she was recruited by the FBI to move to Washington, DC to do clerical work for the bureau. However, Sandra declined, deciding marriage and a family were in her future. In 1962, Sandra gave birth to her only child, Stephanie, and balanced a full-time job, and family life. She was a payroll clerk for Buzzi Unicem Cement plant for 40 years, and prided herself in helping employees as well as teaching new ones. She retired, and moved to Edmond, Oklahoma following the death of her husband, J.B. Moore. However, in 2011 at the age of 69, Sandra decided to enter the workforce again, working as a Documentation Clerk for Communication Federal Credit Union in Oklahoma City. She remained there for five years, until in August of 2016 when she joined her daughter and son-in-law in moving to North Texas to be closer to her youngest granddaughter, her husband, and four great-grandsons. Sandra was known as a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved crocheting blankets for loved ones, putting together puzzles, watching vintage movies and playing cards. Sandra was previously a longtime member of the then First Christian Church of Pryor. She most recently called Freedom Fellowship in Roanoke, Texas her church home. Sandra had a kind heart, and generous spirit. She spearheaded Communication Federal's volunteer work at Bike MS and Walk MS in Oklahoma City two years in a row. After moving to Texas, Sandra's hardworking spirit carried on. She worked temporary jobs for both JP Morgan Chase and CitiCorp. Sandra also spent time with her daughter, granddaughter and great grandchildren.
