Shana Elaine Grass, 51, of Salina, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in Pryor. She was born on January 8, 1968 in Pryor; the daughter of Montie Linn and Patricia (German) Smith. Shana attended Salina Public School and was a lifelong resident of the Mayes County area. She married James Grass on December 4, 1990 in Bentonville, Arkansas. Shana was a member of the Blue Springs Church in Salina and looked forward to attending services and being involved with the activities there. She had a passion for helping people and always worked hard to make sure those around her were well taken care of. Shana loved being a grandmother and stayed involved with all of their activities and looked forward to spending time with them. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and wonderful grandmother who leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., August 30, 2019 in the Blue Springs Church in Salina with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Ross – Mayes Cemetery with Chandler Beck, Isaak Craig, Mike Grass, Dakota Grass, DJ Craig, and Billy Smith serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Cameron Strain and Mike Harris. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Shana is survived by her husband, James Grass of the home; sons, DJ Craig and wife Rebekah of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Mike Grass and wife Linzi of Dewey, Oklahoma; daughters, Rachel Craig and Cameron Strain of Salina, Oklahoma and Shania Harris and husband Mike of Salina, Oklahoma; father, Montie Linn and wife Bonnie of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother, Billy Smith and wife Tiffany of Peggs, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Smith; grandparents, Wilma and Walter German; and uncle, James German.
