February 4, 1956 — March 19, 2023

Adair

Sharla D. Teel, 67, of Adair, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at her home. She was born on February 4, 1956 in Pryor, Oklahoma; the daughter of Carroll Wayne and Norma Lee (Palmer) Caldwell. Sharla graduated in the Pryor High School Class of 1974. She married Joe Don Teel on December 6, 1981 in Pryor, Oklahoma and they have celebrated 41 years of marriage. Sharla had a heart for helping people and working with senior citizens. She had worked at the C.A.R.D. center for over 35 years in various jobs, retiring as the site manager. Sharla enjoyed gospel music and sang and recorded the songs she loved to sing with her dad. She also sang at many weddings and funerals in the area. Sharla was a member of the gospel group, Alabaster. She was called the queen of her family reunions and greatly loved her family and spending time with them. She was strong in her faith and was a member of the Ketchum 7th Day Adventist Church. Sharla had a big smile that would light up the room and loved to make those around her laugh. She leaves us much too soon and will be remembered by all the memories she leaves behind.

No formal services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to go towards Sharla’s arrangements.
