Shauna Thomas

Shauna Lynn Thomas, 53, of Chouteau, passed from this life on November 11, 2020 at her home. She was born on December 13, 1966 in Pryor, Oklahoma; the daughter of Eddie and Carolyn (Gibbs) Sinor. Shauna grew up in the Mayes County area all of her life. In 1989, she graduated from Rogers State University with her degree in nursing. She went to work for Mayes County Medical Center and Grand Valley Home Health as a home health and hospice nurse for 25 years. She loved mountain climbing, reading, and listening to music. She will be dearly missed but leaves behind many wonderful memories for her family to cherish.

Shauna is survived by her parents, Eddie and Carolyn Sinor of Chouteau; son, James Peters of Chouteau, Oklahoma; daughters, Angela and husband Anthony Brewster of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Chelsea and husband Josh Anderson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Makayla Brewster, Brianna Brewster, Ellie Anderson, Presley Brewster, Fiona Anderson, Bentley Peters, and Elijah Peters; brother, Eddie Sinor Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sisters, Cheryl Lawrence of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents James and Jessie Gibbs of Pryor, Oklahoma; Uncle Donald Gibbs of Austin, Texas and husband Ronald Thomas of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
