Shawn Morton

Shawn Patrick Morton, 47, of Adair, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 in Tulsa. He was born on February 22, 1972 in Pryor, Oklahoma. Shawn worked as a Cement Driver for Twin Cities Concrete. He loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed going fishing, hunting, and camping. Shawn liked to ride his motorcycle and horses. He was the jokester of the family, always leaving a smile on those around him. Family was everything to Shawn, he looked forward to each moment he had to spend with them. He leaves so many memories for his family and friends to remember and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 27, 2019 in the Blue Springs Church in Salina with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Adair Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 26, 2019 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Shawn is survived by his fiancé, Tawnya Glidewell of Adair, Oklahoma; sons, Josh Morton of Helena, Montana, Anthony Morton of Salina, Oklahoma, Harrison Kay of Boulder, Colorado, Stephen Kay of Ketchum, Oklahoma, Nick Morton of Adair, Oklahoma and Dylan Morton of Kansas; daughters, Phylicia Kay of Pamona, Kansas, Brittany King of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Heather Kay of Kansas City, Missouri, and Mackenzie Morton of Inola, Oklahoma; mother, Patricia Boswell of Adair, Oklahoma; brothers, Dewayne Tedford, Jr. of Adair, Oklahoma, Eric Boswell of Wichita, Kansas, Chris Boswell of Kansas and Scott Boswell of Arkansas; sisters, Louise Conn of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Patty Phillips of Adair, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Boswell, brother, Shawn Boswell, grandparents, Ollie Shrum and Richard and Marvine Boswell; uncle, Benjamin Shrum; and aunts, Martha Garrison and Barbara Polk.
