Shawn Scates

Shawn Levi Scates, 45, of Rose, departed from this life on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on July 15, 1976 in Alva, Oklahoma; the son of Daniel Scates and Donna (Purcell) Hatley. Shawn faithfully served our country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged after serving for 18 years. He went on to work for Google, which he was currently working for. Shawn had a big heart and a big beard for which he was very proud of. He loved spending time with his family and friends, riding four wheelers, and tinkering with computers. Shawn was a loving father, son, brother, and friend who leaves this earth much too soon and will be dearly missed.

Shawn is survived by his mother, Donna Hatley; children, Bryan and Sarah Scates; grandmother, Marlene Davidson; step brother, Dan Scates; sisters, Jennifer Scates and Vikki Lord; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Scates.
