Sheila Walker

December 29, 1966 — January 18, 2024

Sheila Walker, a beloved member of the community, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, in Pryor, Oklahoma. Born on December 29, 1966, in Carthage, Missouri, Sheila lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to helping others.

Sheila had a unique personality that endeared her to everyone she met. She had an incredible ability to strike up conversations and make people feel at ease. Her love for engaging in discussions knew no bounds as she was always ready to talk with anyone who crossed her path. Sheila's compassionate nature led her to constantly offer a helping hand. Whether it was lending an ear or providing assistance in any way possible, she made a positive impact on the lives of those around her.

One of Sheila's greatest gifts was her sense of humor. She possessed an infectious laughter that could brighten even the dullest of days. Pulling jokes and keeping others laughing brought her immense joy. Sheila believed that laughter was the best medicine and used it generously to spread happiness wherever she went.

In her spare time, Sheila enjoyed expressing herself through arts and crafts. Drawing and painting were her favorite creative outlets, allowing her to showcase her talent and imagination. Additionally, she held a deep affection for animals, particularly cats and dogs. Her heart overflowed with compassion for these furry creatures that brought so much warmth into her life.

Sheila's vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, John Walker of the home. Their bond was unbreakable, and their journey together will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

She leaves behind cherished memories for her brothers Stephen Dunback of Smyrna, TN, Jason Dunback and wife Theresa of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; sister Kimberly Hughey of Pryor; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sheila's family meant the world to her, and she showered them with endless love and support throughout the years.

Sheila was preceded in death by her daughter Ashlei Rose, her parents Charles Beisner and Doralene Dunback, her stepfather Edward Dunback, her mother-in-law Leona Martin, her father-in-law James Walker, and her brother-in-law Larry Hughey. Although the loss of Sheila leaves a void in their lives, it is through the memories they shared that they will forever hold her close to their hearts.
