Shirley (Adams) Cross

Shirley Louise (Adams) Cross, 86, of Pryor, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in Pryor. She was born in Rushville, Nebraska; the daughter of Wayland “Pete” Adams and Josephine “Susan” (Bogle) Adams. She graduated High School in Cheyenne, Oklahoma in the Class of 1952. After High School, she married the love of her life, Lester Cross, on June 27, 1954 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Pryor, and then started attending Life Fellowship Church in Pryor. She was also a long-time contributor of the Baptist Association. She enjoyed playing Bridge, and watching OU Sports of any kind, especially Basketball and Football. Shirley loved when her grandchildren came to visit her and to spend time with her family.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Dean Cross of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Doug Cross and wife Brenda of Pryor, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, Bryan Cross, Beth White, Clint Cross, Heather Cross, and Nathan Cross; 10 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wayland and Josephine Adams and her husband, Lester Cross.
