Shirley Greninger

Shirley Faye Greninger, 85, of Miami, Oklahoma, passed this life on Friday, November 24, 2017 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born on April 23, 1932 in Miami, Oklahoma, the daughter of Wilbur Steve Stines and Addie May (Green) Stines. Shirley married Raymond C. Greninger on March 4, 1950 celebrating 50 years of marriage at his passing in 2000. She worked for many years as a cook for the Miami High School. She loved to cook, especially baking beautiful wedding and birthday cakes to everyone's delight. Shirley was a charter member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Miami, Oklahoma. She was a part of the Hospital Auxiliary, Cherry Reds, volunteering over 6000 hours. She enjoyed being outdoors and camping with her family whenever possible. Shirley was a lovely lady of faith who loved her Lord and her family, leaving that legacy for all to follow.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 10 a.m., in the Immanuel Baptist Church in Miami, Oklahoma with Reverend Andrew Rehbein officiating. Interment will follow in the Glenn Abbey Cemetery in Miami with Deacon Greninger, John Miller, Jimmy Johnson, Josh Stines, Mike Duniphin, and Cecil Greninger serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are RC Greninger and Jeremy Gaston. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel on Tuesday evening. She is survived by her son, Raymond Greninger Jr. of Pryor, OK; her daughter, Debbie and husband, Bill Tyler of Friendswood, TX; her son-in-law, Gary Gaston of Tahlequah, OK; brother, James and wife, JoLinda Stines of Phoenix, AZ; her sisters, Roberta Johnson of Wichita, KS and Carol Sue Howerton of Miami, OK; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Addie Stines; her husband, Raymond C. Greninger; one daughter, Rayma Faye Gaston; two brothers, Steve Stines Jr., GH Stines, four sisters, Betty Jo Stines, Lou Dell Miller, Billie Marie Stines and Mary Ann Stines.
