Sid Brandon, beloved husband, dedicated friend, and passionate storyteller, passed away on July 23, 2023, at the age of 69. Sid's journey began on January 2, 1954, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the epitome of a jack of all trades and possessed an extraordinary talent for fixing anything that came his way. Sid's remarkable skills served him well during his 23-year tenure at Georgia Pacific, where he left an indelible mark. Beyond his professional achievements, Sid was a man of many interests and hobbies that brought him immense joy throughout his life. His unparalleled love for hunting and bowhunting fueled his adventurous spirit and allowed him to connect with nature in a profound way. But it was through storytelling that Sid truly shone. He had an unparalleled ability to captivate listeners with his tales and anecdotes, effortlessly transporting them to another world. There was never a dull moment in Sid's presence; he exuded charisma and warmth, making every conversation feel like a cherished moment. Sid's steadfast faith was an integral part of his identity. He became a member of the First United Methodist Church at the tender age of 12 and continued to nurture and cherish his connection to the church community throughout his life. His unwavering devotion to faith served as a guiding light in all aspects of his life. On November 10, 1978, Sid joined hands with Linda Collins in holy matrimony in Miami, Oklahoma. Their union was one filled with unwavering love, support, and shared dreams. Together they built a beautiful life filled with cherished memories. The legacy Sid leaves behind is one that is marked by love, generosity, and an unwavering zest for life. His absence will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing him. But we take solace in the knowledge that his spirit will continue to live on through countless stories, fond memories, and the lives he touched.
