Stanley Stubblefield, 80, of Chouteau, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on June 26, 1934 in Chouteau, Oklahoma, the son of George and Edna Ruth (Howell) Stubblefield. He married Dorotha Smith on October 4, 1956 in Chouteau, Oklahoma. Stanley worked construction most of his life, starting his own business in Stubblefield Excavation. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, especially bird hunting. Stanley enjoyed watching sports, OU Football, Dallas Cowboys and the St. Louis Cardinals were his favorites. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren, Shelton and Lacey. He will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. at his home at 9449 S. 432 in Chouteau, Oklahoma. Friends and Family welcome, with a meal served at noon. The family asks memorials be made to the Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he received excellent care. He is survived by his son, Ben and wife, Debbie Stubblefield, of Collinsville, OK; two grandchildren, Shelton and Lacey Stubblefield; one sister, Delores Alberty of Ozark, AR; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorotha Ann (Smith) Stubblefield; parents, George and Edna Ruth (Howell) Stubblefield; one brother, Melvin Stubblefield.
