Stephanie Pilant

Stephanie Anne (King) Pilant, 70, of Chouteau, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 in Chouteau, Oklahoma. She was born on January 16, 1945 in Wellington, New Zealand; the daughter of Marcus King and Kathleen (Clark) King. Stephanie attended the Wellington Teachers College, Victoria University and Polytechnic School of Design. One of the proudest moments of her life was whe she officially became an American Citizen. and one of the joys of her life was working with stained glass. Stephanie married Harold Pilant on July 31, 1993 in Pryor, Oklahoma he preceded her in death in December 2013 She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church. She loved her family and looked forward to the time she had to spend with them. She leaves behind many wonderful memories, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in the Pleasant View Baptist Church with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. Burial will follow in the Hogan Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Paul King and his wife Amanda; daughter, Melissa King-Joles and husband Serge; step children, Randy Lee Pilant, Michael Ray Pilant, Alan Dean Pilant, Karen Christine Pilant, Quanda Marie Clark; 1 brother, Mark King and 1 sister, Gabby Avery. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marcus and Kathleen King; and her husband, Harold Pilant.
