Sylvia Steele

Sylvia Janae' Steele, 59, of Tulsa, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on November 2, 1954; the daughter of Cecil and Francis (Tennett) Doyle. Sylvia earned her B.S.N. in Nursing and also her Master's Degree in Business from Southern Nazarene University. Sylvia had a passion for helping people and loved being a nurse. She enjoyed spending time with those who she loved most, and had a special love for her grandchildren. She will be remembered by all the wonderful memories she leaves behind and missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in the Highland Park Christian Church in Tulsa with Pastor Dave Dunson officiating. Interment will be in the Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Steele of the home; 2 daughters, Lauren Steele of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jill Steele of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 2 twin granddaughters, Addison & Erin Skalla. She is preceded in death by her parents and her mother and father in-law, Leroy & Mildred Steele.
