Ted T. Walsh

Ted Walsh, 94, the son of John and Opal Walsh, was born in Chouteau, Oklahoma on November 15, 1928. He grew up and attended school in Chouteau, graduating in 1947. He and Ethel Couch were married on August 14, 1948. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Mr. Walsh was employed by Oklahoma Natural Gas Company. He later worked for Cain's Coffee Company, then Sun – Ray DX, where he worked until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chouteau. The Walsh’s moved back to Chouteau in 1978. He leaves behind many memories and will be greatly missed.

Ted is survived by one grandson, Chad Allen Walsh and wife, Kellie; two great grandsons, Gillette and Gunner; brother, J.D. Walsh and wife, Joyce of Chouteau, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Mildred Walsh of Chouteau, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Roland Lambert of Chandler, Texas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends and special friend, Joanne Hanna. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Opal Walsh; wife, Ethel Walsh; sons, Terry Lee and Larry Gene; daughter – in - law, Joy Gayle; siblings, Everett Lee, Charles Henry, and Helen Marie Lambert; sister-in-law, Evelyn Walsh; and niece, Julie Marie Patrick.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 12, 2023 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service starting at 9:00 a.m., Monday, June 12, 2023 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Chouteau North Cemetery with Gary Walsh, Randy Walsh, Kevin Walsh, Lloyd Couch, Glen Couch and Roger Couch serving as casket bearers.
