Tempest Ruth Ann Compton, 77, of Edmond, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 in Mustang, Oklahoma. She was born on May 7, 1942 in Pryor, Oklahoma; the daughter of Dell and Marie (Ogle) Compton. Tempest lived in the Cedar Crest community for most of her life. She graduated from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor’s degree and went on to teach home economics. After teaching, Tempest went to work for DHS in the Adult Protective Services department and worked there for 30 years. She loved cats, working on the farm, and being outside. She loved riding motorcycles and was a part of the Lakes Area Abate motorcycle group. She was involved with Mid-South Mile for years which raised money for motorcyclist’s rights. A very special Thank You goes out to Cindy Cooper for everything she has done and for being a special friend. Tempest was a very special person to many people; she will be deeply missed.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2020 at Gray Cemetery in Locust Grove, Oklahoma with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. Tempest is survived by her best friend, Becky Wingard, of Edmond, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dell and Marie Compton, and her son, Robert Ross.
