Teresa "Terri" Norman

Teresa Diane Norman, 58, of Shawnee, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at her home. She was born on May 11, 1960 in San Antonio, Texas; the daughter of John B. and Juanita (Crittenden) Norman. Teresa worked at Oklahoma Baptist University for over 38 years, earning the longest tenure of any employee on campus. She loved her job and enjoyed helping the students there. Terri loved her family and would keep track of all their birthdays, making sure to always send out birthday cards to each and every one of them. She was a Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, and Oklahoma Sooners fan. She had a bright personality, loved life and knew how to light up a room. She will be remembered by all the wonderful memories she leaves behind.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2019 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor with John Styron officiating. Burial will follow in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Jay Reese, Johnny Reese, Brent Crittenden, Blake Crittenden, Aaron Buck, Laurel Styrker, and Clifford Trace serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m., until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 2019 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Terri is survived by her sister, Cathey Moore and husband Jim of Laredo, Texas; nieces and nephews, Julie Reese and partner Lisa Carlson, Johnny Reese and wife Araceli ; great nieces and nephew, Chelsie Leanne Reese, John Jay Reese and Katelyn Marie Reese; and Jay Reese and wife Erica; great niece and nephews, Lauren Reese, Hunter Reese, and Landon Reese; aunt, Pat Styron; uncle, Richard Crittenden; and numerous cousins; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Juanita Norman; aunt, Nell Faircloth; and uncles, Joe Faircloth and Vern Styron.
