Thelma Louise (Trimble) Arnold, 83, of Pryor, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born on August 31, 1930 in Pryor; the daughter of Clifford and Arlie (Chitwood) Trimble. She graduated from Pryor High School in 1948. Thelma married the love of her life, Thurman Arnold, on December 1, 1949 in Bentonville, Arkansas. She loved helping others and sending food to those who were in need. Thelma loved to sew, read and work on word search puzzles. She also enjoyed music. She raised her family in the Bitter Creek area Northwest of Adair and said "It was the highlight of my life." Thelma most of all loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cherished each moment she had to spend with them. She will be remembered by all the wonderful memories she leaves behind and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial Visitation services will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2014 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Thelma is survived by her husband, Thurman Arnold of the home; son, Steve and wife Linda Arnold of Pryor; daughter, Lisa and husband Dale Wilson of Collinsville; brother, Glenn and wife Sue Trimble of Pryor, sister, Ruby and husband Johnny Jordan of Pryor; grandchildren, Chris and wife Justina Arnold, Brandon and wife Christy Arnold and Nick Long and Ashley Gurley; great grandchildren, Chelby and Katlyn Arnold, Jarod Ray and Joshua Arnold, and Kinzley and Cash Long and dear friends, Erven and wife Lydia Willis. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Arlie Trimble, sister, Mildred Moore, and grandparents, Louis and Margaret "Ma & Pa" Chitwood.
